Rule 56
Freight compensation
(1) In order to receive such compensation, the cargo owner who demands compensation according to section 69 of the Act shall submit an application to the customs office or the person operating the warehouse, showing the clear reason why he should receive compensation, including supporting evidence.
(2) After receiving the application according to sub-rule (1), if it is found necessary to pay compensation based on such application, a written decision shall be made in respect of the goods for which compensation has been requested, the amount to be added to the price mentioned in the invoice of the goods shall be made available to the owner of the goods as compensation. .
(3) Regarding the goods kept in the customs warehouse operated by another person for the purpose of importation, in case the person operating the warehouse provides compensation according to sub-rule (2), an amount equal to the customs duty charged for the importation of such goods shall be paid within seven days from the date on which the warehouse operator provides the compensation according to sub-rule (2). Must be registered at the customs office.
